There Are Other Fruits That Can Make Wine!

Florida is famous for many things, mainly as one of the holiday hotspots of the United States. People flock to this state from all over the world for the whether and for the amusement parks. Florida is one of the top holiday locations on the planet, and when you really look into it, it becomes obvious why. The reason that Florida is famous with families, is for it’s mass of theme parks like Disney World. There are at least six main theme parks in Florida, Harry Potter being the latest addition to this bunch, based in Universal Studios!

Are there more niche factors that make Florida special to individuals though. There is a lot to see in Florida, but did you know that it is also home to a place where wine is made from Oranges. These fruits are just as another; they have sugar in them and therefore the ability to produce alcohol.

The Spanish came over to America, and when they did they needed to the ability to grow wine away from Spain. Grapes were the universal way to produce wine and are still the most commonly used fruit in the world. Even thought the atmosphere and the climate were perfect for growing the grapes, the soil was uninhabitable for them. The dry and “unappealing” soil was low in mineral density and couldn’t supply the little grapes with enough life. Unfortunately the grapes weren’t able to support themselves here. Using the grapes was no longer a possibility, and another fruit was needed in order to create the wine, something tougher.

The best option was then the Orange, a sturdy fruit that is easy to grow and perfect in hot weather conditions. They can survive on a lot less than the grape can, and also have high sugar levels. There are orange grove wineries in Florida and are great for you to visit on your Florida holidays. USA holidays haven’t exactly blossomed because of the Orange wines, but they should be visited, maybe even if you are on a Fly Drive USA tour!
